Also great characterization with John taken from the comics, he’s someone who will basically back u no matter what if he thinks ur a good person deep down, he was the guy who stood up for Hal after coming back to life post parallax, and i like how he kinda doing this post Hal’s death

I love how Lanterns retroactively makes Superman better even though it wasn't intentionally you look back at Guy Gardners decisions in a new light which is so cool. I love the dynamics of master/apprentice in the Lantern society as well

I’ve really enjoyed this show but with this episode, I truly fell in love. Now it feels like an amazing comic book and that’s all I want from these adaptations.

Seeing a John that's been healing for 10 years, being now a mix of who he was in 2016, and his childlike wonder from the 90s, like his love for, ground meat specifically returning, after having associated it with his trauma, genuinely melted my heart. It also reminded me of who I was also around 2016 in my 20s, vs who I am now, also healing, and just like John, still not fully there.

The question is not why the colonel hung up on him, the question is would the colonel have walked out if he had actually been there in person? Knowing Hal’s past I think he knows the answer. Aaron’s behavior also points to this. His entire family has been unable to move on even if they’re all apart.
