I worked for aramark at a student dining location. I earned 16/hr and you could pay that off working 20 hrs/week (after tax. I earned like 14.50 after tax i think.)

I know the organization MADRVA used to do mini grants, they still might. I’d also recommend looking at the rvarestaurantjobs instagram, they’re always posting local places that are hiring. If you have any profs that you like & trust, you should try reaching out & explaining your situation & ask if they have any connections. 🙏

If you haven’t already, the easiest way to do this is to log into student aid and add on to your plus loan if you already got one (or just get it if you didn’t). I did that last spring when my original loan wasn’t enough to cover the second semester

The payment plan enrollment deadline ended on the 17th I believe but your best bet is to get a job. VCU won’t drop your classes but you do have the rest of the semester to pay your balance before spring semester. Scholarships will probably be for spring.

vcu offers an emergency fund for full time students in the event of financial hardship events. read the requirements!! usually it’s around $500 but you can get more. but vcu will NEVER kick you out of your classes if you are unable to meet a deadline! it’s a policy by vcu!! you got it, from a fellow ram.

I'm about to quit my current job at panera, but they are stressfull af, but if u really need one, the apply there. Kroger also need ppl too! The one jn w broad street i think or staple mill. Try publix too! They are hiring but im not sure when they gonna have interview again, cuz mine just already done few days ago, ross also need but they pay $12/hour, i think i have a regular need employee in homegoods, too.

Depends on your major but if you’re in something like business or engineering, they sometimes will give out retention grants (pay for the remainder in your account) near the end of the semester.
