Not true, unless both people make it clear they are interested in dating. Talking stages are about getting to know someone, they don’t have to be exclusive, that’s what dating is for.

Talking stage and the dating stage are different tho. Loyalty should be expected from the dating stage however it should definitely be communicated with the partner

dating culture is so weird these days, i never even talked to people like that until I actually felt interested in them. and during that time I had my eyes on no one else. until I concluded this person wasn't for me.

It’s ironic that, a lot of people defend keeping their options open while in the talking stage/ dating, but then feel some type of way when they find out the person they like is doing the exact same thing and has their own “options” or roster..
