@themalaymail: A video showing a car being driven against traffic on Jalan Jim Quee has been traced to an Audi driver who is believed to have fallen asleep after finishing work. South Johor Bahru district deputy police chief Superintendent Ng Swie Chait said the incident happened at about 6.50am on September 18 and involved a Malaysian man who works as a restaurant waiter at R&F Mall. Ng said the man was driving home to Taman Mount Austin when he fell asleep at the Tanjung Puteri traffic-light intersection. A nearby police officer knocked on the car window to wake him, after which the driver slowly moved forward but, possibly disoriented, drove against the flow of traffic towards Jalan Jim Quee. Police later conducted an SD2+ breathalyser test on the driver, which returned a negative result for alcohol. The case is being investigated under Section 79(2) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for disobeying traffic signals.
