my father grew up in the village, he went to work with the federal govt in Lagos with sch cert(ss3), the govt trained him in the university of Ibadan while still working with the govt and paying him salary and allowance. he was among the 1st set of nysc in the 1970s. the govt took him abroad several times for conferences and seminars all expenses paid. just 1 generation later, all I ever got was 2 free exercise book in my public primary School.
