I would half 185 to 92.5 then half again to 46.25 then calculate 185 minus 46.25 to get 138.75. Or a rough estimate would be to round 185 to the nearest 100, divide by 4, so you'd know it would be just under $50 bucks off... much quicker estimating than the mental gymnastics of working out the exact amount.
