@adelxunlocked: Nobody tells you this, but protecting your energy isn’t just about how you spend your time. It’s also about what you give people access to. These are the things I stopped sharing once I realized not everything needs an audience: 1️⃣ My future plans. I stopped asking for opinions from people who were comfortable staying where they were. 2️⃣ My wins before they’re complete. Some things grow stronger when you let them develop in private. 3️⃣ My low moments with people who can’t hold space for them. The wrong person can make a hard season feel even heavier. 4️⃣ My new ideas. Not everyone will see your vision before it exists, and that’s okay. 5️⃣ My attention. I stopped giving it to people, drama, and situations that gave nothing back. 6️⃣ My boundaries. If someone needs an explanation to respect your “no,” they probably weren’t going to respect it anyway. 7️⃣ My body’s signals. I stopped ignoring exhaustion just because everyone else was glorifying burnout. 8️⃣ My silence. I used to think I had to explain everything. Now I know silence protects my peace. 9️⃣ My inner work. Not everyone will understand the version of you you’re becoming. 🔟 My real feelings in spaces where I used to perform. I’d rather be honest with myself than pretend to make other people comfortable. 1️⃣1️⃣ My timeline. I stopped comparing how fast my life was moving to everyone else’s. Protecting your energy might be one of the most underrated forms of self-respect. Save this if you needed the reminder.
