Cool but you're acting like Rockstar is the only one with their own game engine. For example EA has and uses frostbite, SCS also have their own game engine. I believe Ubisoft has one too.

the big advantage of rockstar isnt payn not its the low level engineering behind tgem and adapting to own preferences.. they used data oriented programming back than when other wrote mostly object oriented. they have their own procedural animation system no other game engine have this. gta would be never the same if they would develope it on another engine than their own rage engine
