💜it’s been 29 years since my mother died from ovarian cancer, I still have those vivid memories and feelings of overwhelming sadness. Thankyou for sharing your story, you were so young, how very difficult. I’m 60 now. My son was 10 days old when my Mum passed, it was horrendous 💔

I remember so vividly every moment from when my dad had cancer. Being told for the first time, finding out it had come back, the call that he had passed away, and the days I spent beside him in hospital. I can close my eyes and genuinely feel like I’m back in those exact moments, down to how everything looked and felt. It’s like trauma freezes certain memories in time and your brain never really files them away as being in the past.

The death rattle is fckd, i had watched a video about it a few months before my mum passed. I didn’t even realise that’s what I could hear the day she passed. I thought I had a cold and had given it to my mum (I had hayfever) I thought phlegm was stuck in her throat all day. Traumatising asf

Thank you for sharing. Fuck cancer, it always take the best people. I’m sorry you had to go through that so young but any age is traumatic 😥. The death rattle are awful. I believe they are always around us and looking out for us. ♥️♥️

it’s just so Fkg cruel , i also remember my pop dying an having the death rattle , it spooked me for a very long time an I had to go on antidepressants after that , i was 28 married with 2 kids , an I couldn’t go to a hospital for a long time , i can’t imagine hearing this as a child , so heart breaking 💔, my step dad had a brain tumour in his later years an it was such a horrible experience, especially for my mum caring for him . He lasted 6 mths . And don’t feel bad about cleaning the house out a wk later , I think no one knows when to do these things an there’s no right or wrong way or knowing how to feel or how to deal with the grief . Big hugs 🥰, I’m sure your mum would be so proud of the woman you have become xoxo

Me too. It’s something you never ever forget. Family not telling me even though I was in Perth and about to board a flight back to Kununurra while Dads been flown in RAC helicopter to Charlie’s after being found on floor at farm. It’s a horrible cancer. You are so strong

My amazing SIL was diagnosed with glioblastoma in January this year at just age 40 with a 2 year old, it’s a cruel fkn disease and I don’t think people realise what it does until you know someone going through it 💔

There is nothing worse than watching a loved one pass away from cancer. Cancer quite literally sucks the life out of the the sufferer & loved ones. I've lost two friends to cervical cancer,the first one was 32, the second friend had just turned 50. I lost my Aunty in 2020 to cancer, I was with her when she passed. We lost my mother in law to bain cancer last year. It's heartbreaking 💔 life is never the same after watching a loved one battle cancer & then lose that battle. I'm so sorry you had to witness your mum suffer, I'm so sorry you lost your mum 💔 😘🫂❤️xoxoxo
