girlss, don’t fall for men who specifically go after younger girls, especially minors. 🚩 they’ll come in acting all mature, understanding, and putting in SO much effort, making you feel like “wow, he’s different from guys my age.” but once they get what they want, that’s when the controlling side starts showing—suddenly there’s a whole list of things you can’t do, things you have to do, and everything has to be on their terms. and let’s be real, some of these men are literally always hovering around younger girls. you’ll meet them in high school, college, or even when you’re already working, and they’ll hit you with the “you’re just more mature than girls your age” line. don’t confuse the effort and fake maturity at the beginning for genuine character. sometimes that’s literally how they get you.

I was 19, turning 20, when I met him on a dating app, and he was 25 at that time. I’m 21 now, and he’s 27. I met him in December 2024, and our relationship was only supposed to be casual. Sadly, I also failed to meet the required GWA for retention at my previous school, and after everything that happened, my parents told me to continue pursuing VetMed in Cebu, especially since both of us are from Mindanao. When I posted a note saying that I was moving to Cebu, he messaged me after a month of not reaching out and asked why I was going to Cebu and what had happened, so I told him everything, and he felt guilty for ending things with me during the most difficult time, saying that I was too kind and good to him and that he regretted what he had done. He asked if my decision was really final because he wanted to become a better person and fix what we had, but I told him that my decision was already final and there was nothing he could do anymore; he then admitted that he couldn’t handle an LDR, which was why he didn’t pursue me, and said that if we both became successful someday, maybe there could still be a chance for us. Even after that, he continued viewing my MyDays and sometimes heart-reacting to them, but last week, while scrolling through Facebook, I saw a girl on my “People You May Know” list, and something about her caught my attention, so I looked her up and eventually saw that she and him had been together in July.

This happened to me twice. The first is nong 15 or 16 years old ako and he's like 20 or 21. We broke up after 5 months I think? Tapos yung pinaka matagal which I thought was my forever but it turns out a nightmare, very very bad nightmare. I was 17 years old turning 18 and he was 15 or 16 years ahead of me. Gross, a dreadful experience.

Naaawa ako sa mama ko kasi sunod-sunuran siya sa papa ko at all times parang walang sariling desisyon mama ko siguro dahil nasanay na sila na ang papa ang mas matanda sa relasyon or mas matured so need niya sumunod. I'm 16 and he's turning 26 during that time. Hanggang ngayon bubog ko pa din. The audacity of groomers na magloko sa partner nila para mang-manipula ng menor de edad. They have a special place in hell!! Mind you, nagseserve pa sa simbahan yan. Counselling can't even help me heal. At this point natritrigger pa din talaga ako.
