But if you actually made a suit of armour out of a tungsten carbide composite, you would have a serious problem with blunt force. Tungsten carbide sits at around 9 to 9.5 on the Mohs hardness scale. It is so abrasion resistant that a steel sword would slide off it without leaving a scratch. But extreme hardness comes with a trade off: almost zero elasticity. If I hit a tungsten carbide tool onto a semi hard surface, it will often completely break or chip. If a player wore a full suit of Netherite and took a strike from an iron golem or a mace, the plates would instantly shatter

Why wouldnt it float? lava is usually, depending on the type, up to 1200°C, if tungsten melts at around 3000, I doubt gold and diamond bring the melting point down to 1200 so it wouldnt melt.... and netherit is dense since its usually found below lava, in the lower layers :P
