🍋Gentlemoon (gentle lemon)🍋 :
I used to think that way (believing in "the one") and now, as I've matured, I realized that there doesn't need to be "the one" out there. For me, it came from a parental wound. As a woman almost in her 30s, I found it tiring to find just one person to be my romantic partner. We're about 10 BILLION people in the WORLD, yet, we believe that we're only meant to be with "the one". It's quite laughable, actually. I definitely believe there are people out there who are meant for one person romantically. On the contrary, we go through life and meet others. We see the world as "I need to have just one 'partner-in-crime' for the rest of my life as I deal with other people and life, in general" type of energy and mindset. Instead of viewing the world as an experience to know ourselves, understand our karmic cycles and duties, and hopefully enjoy life as well. Regardless if we ever meet "the one", we must make sure that this desire isn't coming from desperation, insecurity, and the need to "fix" our parental wounds and traumas with romantic partnerships and sexual relations. Hence why I no longer subscribe to the notion that I "must find" "the one", anymore. Whomever enters my life romantically is here for a reason and when the purpose is fulfilled, we move on! We're constantly progressing —at least we should—in life and it doesn't make sense to "halt" life or experiences just because we want someone to come back to. Which is valid in and of itself. I really loved this video.
