ID LANG, PERO ANG HIRAP! WATCH: The new trailer for “2 VALID IDs” gives viewers a closer look at the story of Sylvia, a poor farmer who needs to claim money sent by a relative for her husband’s medical treatment — but faces a major obstacle: she does not have a single valid ID. Directed by Ma-an L. Asuncion-Dagñalan and written by Abet Pagdagdagan Raz, the full-length film follows Sylvia as she navigates bureaucracy, financial hardship and difficult choices while her husband’s condition worsens. The film stars Marietta Subong, Meryll Soriano, Joey Marquez and Zaijian Jaranilla. Subong was named Best Actress at the 2026 Cinemalaya Film Festival for her performance in the film. “2 VALID IDs” opens in Philippine cinemas on October 14.
