Not true in Norway, Sweden, German or Denmark: they don't talk at all about how big or small faces are, but are very interested in hights. Most also think eastern-Asians look beautyful✨

「手足が長い」とか「首が長い」っていうのも日本だと褒め言葉になるし「お尻が小さい」も日本だとポジティブな意味になるよね。個人的にはお尻は大きい方が良いと思うけど。

お人形さんみたいっていう褒め言葉もあります！日本ではリカちゃんとかバービー人形、フランス人形などの人形をすごく可愛いものとして認識してる人が多いです。肌が白いとか、顔が小さいとかの具体的な褒め方をするのは人形に似てるパーツをそのまま褒めてるのかな？って思います。人形みたいで可愛いねって言いたいんです。

For instance, a Japanese person with a high-bridged nose might be told, "You have a nose like a foreigner's"—and naturally, that is meant as praise. But of course, it might seem strange to foreigners. Just try to understand that there's absolutely no malice intended.
