OMG, hear me out… What if Pi Oh and Jeongyo are biological brothers? They have different mothers, but the same father: the piano teacher. Maybe the teacher and Pi Oh’s mom were together before, which would explain why she’s hiding who Pi Oh’s dad is. Then she saw the teacher getting close to Jeongyo’s mom and became jealous. And when Jeongyo won first place over Pi Oh, she killed Jeongyo’s mom on the day of the contest not only out of jealousy, but to traumatize Jeongyo so badly that he’d stop playing piano for good. What if the teacher knows what Pi Oh’s mom did and he blames her for damaging their relationship.
