Another low-pressure system is expected to pass the Western Cape before tracking eastwards towards the Eastern Cape on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 September. At this stage, Cape Town and surrounding parts of the Western Cape could be affected first, with unsettled weather then extending along the southern coastline towards George, Knysna, Jeffreys Bay, Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) and East London. A similar setup brought disruptive weather to parts of this region a few months ago, which is why I believe this system deserves our attention early. 🌧️ Potential heavy rainfall 💨 Strong winds possible 🌊 Rough coastal conditions possible ⛈️ Very unsettled weather along parts of the southern coastline This is an early heads-up, not a final forecast. The exact track, timing and intensity can still change as we get closer to Friday.
