![#SimonGhostRiley TRIBUTE - [just make sure you can trust yourself.] ... a little something about my creative vision with this one. when the mw4 campaign trailer came out, I had very mixed feelings. and now I can't help but think about everything about him reverting back to his 'old self' - the mask, the attitude, if you can call it that. and of course, the trust issues. I've seen a few edits where people tackled the topic of him foreshadowing price's rogue act and soap's death two games beforehand and wanted to include that as well. because I think nothing says a truly tragic complex character as someone, who has had bad experiences in the past but still decides to pull through & trust someone again, acknowledge the importance of said loyalty within the team, burying his own issues deep. Just to be betrayed again, as he foretold himself. Maybe I am looking too much into it, but as I said, I see a cycle of him getting burned, building up his defenses, letting someone get close to him and then getting burned again and he ends up alone. The cycle repeats. Maybe he was doomed from the start, after all, to always end up as the last one standing. Also partially inspired by cod mobile comic I've read in the summer, where Ghost tells Simon he's the reason why he's still alive in the first place, and that he made him himself. Ends with Ghost swallowing Simon whole. Biblically accurate CoD lore if you ask me. ... when it comes to editing itself, I don't want to get too technical, I just want to say this: Ouroboros, one of the biggest symbols about repeating cycles, is depicted in media as a snake eating his own tail. And because of that..
