Today, let’s take a closer look at two symbols of ancient Egypt: the ankh and the obelisk. The influence of these symbols extends beyond ancient temples to Egypt’s New Capital CBD project. The ankh has been incorporated into the design of the tourist promenade, representing eternity, the development of civilization and the city’s prosperity. The obelisk at the central promenade serves as a visual focal point for the public space, while the design of the Iconic Tower was inspired by the Luxor Obelisk.
