8 POSITIONS THAT MAY HELP YOU RELAX You: Coach, I’m stressed, tense and mentally overwhelmed. Can these simple positions really help? Healthy Living Coach: They can. Gentle movement, stretching, comfortable positions and slow breathing may help reduce physical tension and promote relaxation. They are stress-management tools, not a replacement for professional care when stress or anxiety is severe or persistent. 1.
