@mr_humpty555k: Walmart security really needs to explain this one because WHAT?! 😳 Every time I come to this Walmart, this woman finds a reason to act weird toward me. I’ve reported her multiple times for what I believe is discriminatory and disrespectful behavior toward Black customers. Today, I was doing TWO separate orders, which is why I still had groceries in my cart. This woman came up behind me, started looking through my bags, and even TOUCHING my stuff, asking if I had paid for everything. Mind you, I’m literally still scanning my items. 🤦🏾♀️ I asked her to step away from me because she was making a scene while people stood around looking at me like I had done something wrong. Then the manager comes over… and suddenly he’s the ONLY manager on duty? 🤨 He eventually apologized and said he would follow up with the other manager from our previous incident, but this whole situation was ridiculous. Walmart employees are NOT supposed to make customers feel targeted or humiliated. What would YOU have done in this situation? 👀👇🏾

Lost prevention probably told her to stand there and look at what you scan as a former loss prevention for Walmart sco has to stand there it's not her doing

I would demand that a manager come to the register to formally scan my groceries. I would call Corporate after.

Unpopular opinion but until you pay for the items the stuff isn’t yours, it’s technically still Walmarts. Now if she was going through the bags of the transaction that you had already paid for that’s a different story that stuff is totally yours and that’s weird behavior but while you’re scanning and haven’t paid that stuff isn’t yours yet.

I think the employees behavior is ridiculous but just an FYI, Walmart or any business is actually a private business and they can get policy against recording inside of their location.

if she causes you issues, why do you go to sco when she is there. Walmart is private property not public, so technically you're not allowed to record. If you're doing 2 separat transactions, when you first going into sco ask for an empty cart. Do the 1st transaction info the empty cart. Try it and see if you have less issues that way.

While she's being intrusive you do have to understand that there's this little known law that most people don't know about. It's called Shopkeeper's Privilege, it's a legal doctrine that allows store employees to detain someone and retrieve merchandise if they have probable cause to believe the person is stealing. She might have thought you were skip-scanning. She's an employee of Walmart so she DOES have the right. I know it doesn't seem fair to you but in all fairness, if you don't like how you're treated in a store you can shop somewhere else. Walmart is not going to change their policies just for you so basically if you're in their store, they have every legal right to "f*ck" with you. Don't like it, don't give them your business.
