@travismanionfoundation: Today, we honor the life and legacy of LT (SEAL) Brendan Looney, USN, who made the ultimate sacrifice in Afghanistan on September 21, 2010, during his 59th mission. He was just 29 years old. Brendan had a drive to excel in everything he did, but those who knew him best remember the way he lifted up the people around him. From his days as a standout athlete to his time at the U.S. Naval Academy and as a Navy SEAL, Brendan led by example. To his friends, he was simply “the best.” He was the person who showed up, helped without being asked, and made the people around him better. To Amy, Brendan was her husband, her best friend, and the person she loved unconditionally. Their life together was built on faithfulness, honesty, loyalty, and a deep love for one another. Brendan accomplished more in 29 years than most do in a lifetime. Today, Amy serves as President of Travis Manion Foundation, carrying his legacy forward through her work to empower veterans and families of the fallen to lead and serve.
