The ending was so sad, but it was clear we were watching the back story of a NPC. The moment it was undeniable was when he recorded the voice memo, it was exactly something you’d find playing as Leon, Claire or Jill in 2 & 3.

The ending is so fitting. None really had his back, has no training, and doesn’t know what he’s getting into. The purpose of the character Bryan was to show to everyone not everyone is Leon, he’s no Chris Redfield. There are stakes and risks and his passing proved that. This it’s why this is displayed as a horror thriller rather than a horror action like other movies. Absolute cinema
