Everything is gonna be alright, Maxine. When Maxine was diagnosed with osteoarthritis, I was TERRIFIED. What does this mean? Will it reduce her lifespan? How quickly will this incurable disease progress? I didn’t know anything and didn’t know where to turn. It was an incredibly frustrating time with lots of trial and error. So over the last 6 years, I’ve spent an incredible amount of time getting informed about what an arthritis diagnosis means, what therapies exist, and the scientific studies that have either proven or disproven the treatments and supplements that supposedly help solve these problems for pet parents. In the coming weeks, months, and years, I look forward to sharing everything I’ve learned with you. But if you’re dealing with any of these conditions (arthritis, IVDD, DM, etc.) or are currently watching your best friend get a little older and a little grayer, here’s what I can say — everything is going to be alright. One step at a time. Maxine will be on restricted crate rest for the next 2 months. We’ll be doing laser therapy with our class 3b laser from @respondanimaltherapeutics, which is a non-invasive therapy that is scientifically-proven to reduce pain, inflammation, and swelling in arthritic joints. By promoting endorphin production and improving blood flow, it accelerates tissue repair and restores joint mobility, making it an essential therapy for managing arthritis and improving quality of life in dogs. Alongside the laser therapy, these are the other therapies we’ve found to be critical to healthy joint maintenance ⭐ Stem cell / PRP injections ⭐ Hydrotherapy @waterfordogs ⭐ Daily stretching ⭐ PEMF therapy ⭐ Supplements (specific ingredients with proven efficacy) ⭐ Overall weight management If you have questions, concerns, or just want to share what you’ve been going through, I’m here, Maxine’s here, and we’re not going anywhere anytime soon. We’re on this journey together, and we’re here to help.
Love, Bryan
