@cbsnews: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has personally pressed President Trump to take military action against the Houthis, the Iran-backed Yemeni rebel group that controls large parts of northern Yemen, according to CBS News sources. The pressure comes as Houthi forces have advanced rapidly along Yemen’s Red Sea coast, seizing the strategic port of Mocha in recent days and strengthening their position around the Bab al-Mandeb Strait, a vital shipping route connecting the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. Despite bin Salman’s urging, Mr. Trump has so far declined to involve the U.S. military directly.
