This is painfully accurate. Until you’ve worked or volunteered in a charity shop, you can’t comprehend the sheer quantity of totally unsellable trash that gets dumped there for convenience. To make matters worse, my store had a ‘never turn away a donation’ policy, so no matter how hazardous and overflowing the sorting room got, or how diabolical the ‘donation’ was, you were obliged to take it 😩
