Yes because they leave us with a lifetime of CPTSD fibromyalgia extreme hypervigilance and take lives directly or indirectly. I was ruined mind body and soul after 22 years of hell. The courts do not see survivors have been damaged for a lifetime even with years and years of therapy.

Yes 100percent. I suffered for 8 years then 6 years of mental physical financial abuse and now two years on, I’m still suffering, it feels like my life is ruined. I’m isolated scared and can’t leave the house. And he carries on destroying other families lives. I have no one left as they all think I’m crazy.

There is progression towards it, it’s now named coercive control under criminal law. The only problem is, professionals and people in general are often not educated enough or experienced enough to identify it. Especially because narcissists often use DARVO and have victim mentality, and are actually very skilled at manipulating others to think they are the victim, the real victims are not heard. They also use the system as an extension to enable their abuse, making false allegations to support their smear campaigns on their victims, and as the police role is to support the victim of crime, they have a really hard job identifying the actual victim. Even when they identify the correct victim it then has to pass through a court process which requires no reasonable doubt for conviction. A narcissist will not admit to their crimes or take accountability and they are experts at creating doubt in others. Most their abuse is calculated and hidden and they go to great lengths to cover it up so that others do not see the monster they are under the mask they wear. It is really difficult for others to understand truth and usually the victim is the only one who can understand and know, leaving them isolated. The best I think the system can do to support a victim of narcissistic abuse, is to allow them to get away and have freedom to live their lives. Narcissists are extremely obsessive over their victims, often stalking is involved. They simply will not leave their target alone, they seek to destroy them and their whole lives. I think an improvement to molestation orders need to be put in place, and an overhaul of family courts, since narcissism thrives here in enabling narcissistic abusers access to their ex partners through the children. They also absolutely destroy their children’s lives and mental health, a child is dependent and easy controllable and prime target to a narcissist

My narcissist was my ivf doctor and obgyn. After 6 years in his web i finally walked away. I just accepted that he was a troubled soul and unhealthy. Now that im detached and looking back i understand i was groomed and under psychological abuse. I know he has and is doing this to more patients and i feel that i have to report him but im scared.
