This was legit my parents growing up! Raised three kids on 38k a year in a trailer park. I know they did their best but I wish that I had never been born. I managed to make it out, go to college, and have a good paying job now and I feel like I will never be able to escape my past. Parents don’t have anything saved for retirement now, a house, or any assets and everyday I’m stressed tf out thinking about theirs and my future. I’m coming to terms with the possibility of never being able to retire myself so they don’t end up on the streets. It literally didn’t matter how hard I worked, I’m going to get dragged back.
