The Rotax 912 is different: Liquid-cooled heads = stable temperatures Small cylinders = faster, cleaner combustion Electronic ignition (no magnetos) = variable timing, lower peak pressure High RPM + gearbox = less detonation time Result: Rotax controls temperature, pressure, and timing, so octane matters less. That’s why the ICON can safely fly on mogas daily and avgas when needed. Better physics. Better engineering. 🚀
