@realtormesut: HOW MUCH INCOME DO YOU REALLY NEED TO BUY A HOME IN CANADA? 🇨🇦🏡 The answer can change dramatically depending on where you buy. Under the assumptions used in this comparison, cities like Vancouver, Victoria and Toronto require much higher household incomes than markets such as Edmonton, Saskatoon or Winnipeg. But here’s the important part 👇 The home price is only the starting point. Your actual mortgage qualification can change based on: 💰 Down payment 📉 Mortgage rate 🏦 Stress-test qualification 💳 Existing debts 🏠 Property taxes 🔥 Heating costs 🏢 Condo fees 📊 Credit profile 📅 Amortization and lender guidelines That means two buyers looking at the exact same $700,000 home may qualify very differently. And sometimes changing the city, property type or down payment can completely change what becomes affordable. So instead of asking only: “How much house can I afford?” Ask: “Where does my income and budget give me the best options?” Which Canadian city surprised you the most? 👀👇 📌 Save this for your future home-buying plan. 📤 Share it with someone thinking about buying in Canada. 📩 Buying in Toronto or the GTA? Would you rather earn more and live in Toronto/Vancouver, or take a lower housing cost in Calgary/Edmonton? 👀👇

Minimum I needed in 2000 when I bought I needed to make $19,000 a year to buy in the lower mainland at age 21 with a $5100 down payment now the same place you need to make $117,000 a year with a $25,000 down to buy the same place so can’t see how Home ownership is possible for any one young now a days
