$200 an hour???? I’m lucky if I take home $200 a day after commission and IF my client shows up. And then more than half of that has to go into savings for 1099 taxes, and then into my retirement savings account I made by myself- and insurance costs… like what???

I don’t get why they just don’t do it themselves….. you don’t want to pay for a service, babe do it yourself!!! They forget we pay 2 rents, supplies, taxes, classes to learn new techniques. I’m tired of them.

After taxes , 6 years experience in the nail industry, materials, rent , insurance, LLC fees, licensing renewal and if I can afford extra education that year … I only bring in roughly 40,000-50,000 a year

I don’t event take their complaints seriously cuz I remember not that long ago I used to charger $20 for acrylic fill with gel and art and people still complained that it was too expensive

Mind you they're argument is always "so and so doesn't even make that much or so and so went to school for seven years" well for one, we continue education for thousand of dollars, we buy product spend $1500+ of booth rent/ suite rent or even owning a salon, our product isn't reimbursed, we don't have retirement pension, paid time off, health insurance usually so we have to pay out of pocket for those. Like this argument is so annoying at this point and they do it for the views. They never direct this energy towards things that actually matter.
