I was there yesterday at about 7 am and I was the fifth person there. Then they left and I had it to myself for 15 beautiful minutes! One of my favorite hikes that I’ve done recently!

Thank you for mentioning the snow! We have already had multiple snow events at high elevations. Even being fully prepared it’s still tricky navigating down slick snow covered rocks!

We went last year and I made the mistake of not dressing warmly enough. Weather report said mid 60’s but we went so early in the morning that it was in the mid 30’s when we started our trek. So dress in layers!

You need to get there at like 6am if you want decent parking and not hike with 1000 other people in a line. That said it is beautiful.
