@melissajbyrnex: I am SO sorry this has taken so long to get out but I hope it’s still helpful nonetheless. Here’s another Q&A for you 🫶🏼 touching on NPD, toxic behaviours, estrangement, flashbacks & coping mechanisms 🫶🏼
A thing my m said to me yesterday- trying to rebuild a relationship after no contact, idk why, she says “i’ve realised you and my older brother needed a villian in your story and that has become me and i’ll accept that, she also then went on to say she’ll be the villian in my two younger sisters stories too, now my internal response becuse usually i just stay quiet was, “i dont think its healthy to already be planning on having a bad relationship with my younger sisters?” Like surely if you’re realising you’re the so called villian you would do the upmost best to avoid being that to my younger sisters, one of which is her favourite child?

My father is a Narcissist. Growing up was absolute hell.
I have so much trauma from my childhood, and I still struggle to this day.
I never understood why I struggle with the things I do, but I have been doing some self healing, and I realise that I was never to blame.

I’m having therapy on and off and it’s taught me some valuable things. I have experienced past things but it can’t define my life. It can’t be the reasons I give up. Your videos have also allowed me to start putting myself first and I can’t thank you enough. ✨🫶🏻

Getting therapy has been such a long wait. I just want to move on. It’s been a year and so many more with poor mental health and I’m exhausted. I can’t wait to work hard and heal as much as you have you should be proud x

Thank you for going through the traits of NPD too Mel, I've battled through foster care with family members and friends that have a lot of these traits and it's safe to say you're absolutely spot on, about them not even thinking there's something wrong with them in the first place. I had to walk away in the end from it all. I've also had recent contact with my brother who still lives with my carers and I don't know how to feel about it. At this moment in time, he hasn't spoken to me in over a month, so I suppose if it's meant to be it will be.

You honestly make me feel seen, normal... I also have to plan a visit and afterwards. Hubby took years to see my view, especially when he was the brunt of their behaviour, because he didn't get sucked in. I offer my 2 daughters to choose if they visit, they're older enough to decide
