@paindustrialhistory: Nearly a million people visit Blue Marsh Lake every year and almost nobody sees the valley under it. The Army Corps took 5,663 acres here, and the people who lived there never called it Pleasant Valley. They just called it The Valley. Follow for the next file. Comment the town your family lost. #BlueMarshLake #PAHistory #BerksCounty #DrownedTown #history
I didn’t know Gruber wagon Works was moved from there. My paternal grandmother was a Gruber and I was told this is relation to us. Visit there, but not Blue Marsh anymore.

Such a shame, it was a great place to go in the early 1980’s we went there every day in the summer unless it was thunder storms lol. It’s a shame that it is so dirty the crowd is dirty & so the water isn’t safe. I bet there’s more going on in that water than Algae blooms

Still think we should get rid of Eminent domain if they need the land buy it or move it to somewhere not owned by anyone

I grew up there we lived in the Blue Marsh Hotel from 61 to 63 until an electrical fire in a closet made it unsafe. We then moved to Brownsville on Justa Road. We were the last family to move out of the state gamelands. We were the last house on Justa Road just before Sleepy Hollow Road

My family moved because they built Blue Marsh. We lived on a farm under Blue Marsh water now. I would go almost every day when it was first opened, it was clean and beautiful. It’s not anymore.
