@antgoods87: The best offenses value every action as a threat and opportunity to score Getting players to value their job on each possession is difficult. Especially when that job is to screen, handoff, cut w speed, stay spaced etc. A lack of engagement reveals itself in jogging to screen, bad screening angles, creeping out of the corner, passive handoffs and a multitude of other things that disrupt the flow of offense. As a player I always believed even the most basic offenses could work if everyone bought into timing, spacing, and executing their job. But that buy-in has to be taught. Coaches still have to teach the flow, the reads, the next actions, and how to play once an advantage is created When a locker room complains about the offense sometimes the design is the issue. But many times it’s a lack of teaching, accountability, and/or buy-in to execute the details properly

I disagree. The ball has to move and not everyone needs to take a turn trying to score. There has to be a ball reversal guy and trash man present
