my second year flat flooded, we had to move out for three weeks and my flatmate’s curtains ended up growing mould, we emailed to see if they could replace them or something cause it’s a health hazard and they told her it was her fault instead💀

We had an insane mould problem & they told us to put the heating on full blast (which we had to obviously pay for), we also didn’t have en extractor fan in our kitchen 😭🤣 it also made no difference when we had the heating on

this reminds me of the time I rented a property, had a gas leak and luckily everything was turned off in time by the gas man I called out but the landlady said there wasn't a lot she could do about it after that so I moved out, now I'm much older id take it further!!!

My uni house had a hole in the roof and poured water through the ceiling (into my bedroom) when its rained. They repaired it over the Christmas break…. first day back it rained and came through the roof again… apparently they had ‘repaired the wrong house’….

we still have a gas leak. it's been three weeks. we told them we could smell gas less than a week in. their answer "well we didn't get that complaint last year"

My 3rd year studio flooded on my first day there. The maintenance people had the audacity to say "the soonest we can get someone there is Wednesday (3 days), is that okay?" To give them credit when I said absolutely not they did put me up in a hotel for those days. However, they only fixed the leak in the roof and gave me a dehumidifier so for the rest of the year my walls and ceiling was damp with paint peeling. By the summer, I had mushrooms growing out of my wall and the wooden support from the window frame had almost completely split. Their solution was just to send Glenn over to remove the mushrooms by hand 😭

I was told to stop the mould that was there already, ruining all of of our clothes, furniture and lives to simply stop breathing as breathing can cause mould

Ahhhh I’m so glad I don’t have to deal with this anymore. Our last landlady had a complete meltdown about mould in the bathroom but you could literally see where they’d painted over mould that was already there, she didn’t like when I pointed that out 🫠😅

Moved into my second year flat and was welcomed by a bed bug infestation. Not just our flat but the flat next to us. Been two weeks and it’s still not sorted 😭

there was a huge hole in the living room wall and the garden was so overgrown w rubbish in when we moved in, so giant rats were coming in the house, and they said the hole was part of the structure and couldn't be covered??? like we weren't allowed to cover it?
