MENT, or trestolone (7α-methyl-19-nortestosterone), is a synthetic androgen developed by the Population Council and studied mainly as an androgen-replacement option and a male contraceptive, delivered by slow-release implants. It activates the androgen receptor far more strongly than testosterone, ignores SHBG, resists 5α-reductase so it stays mild on the prostate, and still aromatizes to an estrogen. Human data is real but limited: small implant trials in hypogonadal and healthy men at replacement or contraceptive release rates, not the high injectable doses used in bodybuilding.
