@afrivision.media: 🇨🇳 New footage circulating online shows China’s massive J-36 next-generation combat aircraft during another daylight flight, as development of the secretive three-engine, tailless aircraft continues. Recent imagery suggests China may now have as many as five J-36 prototypes, with visible differences between airframes indicating ongoing experimentation with the aircraft’s nose, air intakes, landing gear and engine exhausts. The exact number has not been officially confirmed by China. The aircraft is unusually large for a fighter, with analysts estimating a maximum takeoff weight around 45–55 tonnes and a length of roughly 22–23 meters. China’s aerospace industry has also recently displayed a fighter-mounted laser tracking and aiming system alongside imagery of the J-36 at a Beijing defense exhibition.
