I saw the same video, and literally commented that that's exactly why Rebecca is upset and annoyed. And it's so dumb! The same thing literally happened with Iron Flame and Onyx Storm! People just don't care anymore, and that's genuinely shitty

The shipping boxes are supposed to stay sealed until release day. I had to sign a fucking NDA at my job for it.

You're 100% correct, but I don't believe that was the right tone of delivery. Tacking a question mark at the end of an order doesn't necessarily turn it into a suggestion, if you feel me. She's blatantly wrong, but that's probably why she didn't care to listen.

Remember when stores were sued for releasing books before street date?

I work at Barnes and noble and we were flat out told we can’t even open the boxes until the day of midnight release. The fact ppl are opening them and posting it is WILD

It’s weird behavior from grown women. If you love the author so much why wouldn’t you respect her wishes?

I saw a video about a Walmart that had them fully stocked on the shelves but wouldn’t let the girl buy them and the comments was full on how they’d stay in the store in read it. Like so disrespectful to RY 😭

I don’t know what’s going on but can I ask why it matters that the book was revealed early? Other then the authors wishes but why do they not want it revealed a bit sooner

I work for a retailer (not a bookstore, but we sell books). And we occasionally get books with on sale dates on the pack slip or on the box. I keep reaching out to the buyers - and I keep getting the same message “Pit it on the floor”…….. okie dokie. Not my money when the author sues. I just work here. 😂

I used to work at a B&N. Boxes with releases like this were put in plain view of cameras in our stock room, and anyone who even touched the boxes could get fired. It was a huge deal to not mess with releases marked for a specific sale date

Back when I worked at Walgreens, any books, music or movies we received that accidentally got out on the sales floor before the date it was allowed couldn’t even be sold. The POS system would block it and said “not for Sale until XX/XX/XXXX.” You couldn’t even bypass it, customers insisted that we tried lol. Idk why all big box stores don’t have their POS systems set up in that way.

It’s crazy how so many stores are putting books out early. Walmart has done this TWICE, putting out books a few days before release date.

Got blocked fighting with people who were buying The Knave and the Moon early 😭 people claim to love these authors but disrespect them when they buy books before the release date. Some people just lack the emotional maturity to understand why it’s wrong
