As a silversmith working with brass, sterling silver, bronze, and rose gold, I select different metal gauges, hammer my pieces, and use wire brushes and satin wheels to build texture, gloss, and matte finishes. Pair that with my art director background analyzing proportions, color harmony, and aesthetics, and seeing this Spyker C8 is mind-blowing. It feels less like a car and more like a living piece of wearable steampunk art. The exterior wears a striking, smooth turquoise coat anchored by aggressive aeroblade propeller wheels and sculpted headlights that look like vintage aircraft lenses. Up front sits their iconic aircraft-propeller emblem engraved with their motto—Nulla tenaci invia est via ("For the tenacious, no road is impassable")—a true warrior spirit. Popping the doors reveals the real magic: blazing Tropicana orange leather set against mirror-polished rose gold, brushed bronze, and an engine-turned aluminum dash. Having pulled out my own sewing machine to custom-craft outfits for corporate parties and fun nights out, the seat detailing is to die for. Every single stitch and pattern is executed to absolute perfection—the craftsmanship is out of this world! The crown jewel? I hope this car helps bring this company back and give them a better footing. I would love to see more cars with the same goal as the planned B6 Venator (but maybe instead adding that super sexy exposed manual transmission linkage) actually reach production. I'd love to own a Spyker one day, but if they keep costing over 1 million and have super limited production runs, I likely won't be able to.
