@mihaaru: $20 Billion Investment in Rasmale: Maldivian Government Signs Agreement with UAE’s Emaar Properties to Develop a Marina The Maldivian government has today signed an agreement with Emaar Properties, one of the UAE’s most prominent companies, to develop and operate a marina in Rasmale. Designed as a world-class tourism, waterfront, and marina project, the development will include international-standard services, luxury and branded residences, a modern marina, and facilities for waterfront recreation. The company has also agreed to construct 5,000 flats in Hulhumalé. While the Maldives’ total GDP stands at around $8 billion, the total investment value of this project being carried out in the Maldives is more than twice that amount.
