I feel football is just becoming way too complicated. Parent abuse has always existed for decades on end. It’s upto the club to deal with that.

100%. If a team has parents that act this way they get one warning then they forfeit their next match, happens again they get expelled from the league. It’s so bad now that it has to be zero tolerance and severe consequences. Clubs have to be strong enough to throw kids with these parents out of their team too.

My son once played a match at under 7s and one of the opposition parents told his son he would get a fiver if he broke one of our boys legs! Needless to say the parent and club were reported but I’d agree with this

As a ref, I could take the stick. But if they directed anything towards the kids, I'd stop the game, get the parent removed or threaten a forfeiture...

yes. great idea, it's about kids learning and enjoying football. I'm no great lover of premier league referees but I am able to compartmentalise and no shout at the person showing up on a Saturday to ref my child's game. They're often really approachable people as well, if I disagreed with a decision, I've talked to them to understand why it was made. also we have a swear jar, my kids games, cost a £1 a swear, £2 for the C word.

I agree I’ve been on the receiving end of a group of 25/30 adults giving me dogs abuse because I was locking up there winger and took till ht for the ref to tell a certain few who were using foul language to be forced to leave

Can you imagine being a 16yr old ref. Players insulting you , coaches giving you grief & parents who are the worse shouting at you! & you wonder why clubs can’t get anybody to ref them!

Used to referee and although it’s a great idea in principle, in practice it won’t do anything in the moment. I’ve had full grown men offer me a fight when I was 14/15, a black card won’t do anything there other than make things worse. The governing FA’s need to get a grip of the leagues they run rather just creaming off the top
