@thedeanlorey: The on-camera Ron Howard you saw in Arrested Development season four is Ron doing my terrible impression of him. Ron played himself. Sort of. It's Arrested Development, so it's not really Ron, it's a fictional real Ron. Which left the writers' room with a question: who is this guy? Years earlier I'd rewritten a script for Ron to direct. One day I'm there for notes and Brian Grazer comes in with two cuts of a trailer. Identical, except one has an explosion. Ron says, "I like the one with the explosion. Everyone likes 'splosions, right?" He was joking, but it stuck with me. It's where Bane on Harley Quinn gets his love of 'splosions. And it's how we wrote fictional Ron: simple, sweet, a guy who keeps the Apollo 13 lunar module in his office for secret meetings. I was terrified he'd be offended. He thought it was funny. Who does your favorite impression? I read every one. Three new eps weekly #arresteddevelopment #ronhoward #harleyquinn #bane #comedywriting
