I'm so sorry for what you are going through. I can't imagine how difficult it is especially after so many years. It's very easy for everyone on the outside to advise you to simply let go. I have done so much inner healing that I realize that the only validation you need is your own. Never seek outside validation give yourself that unconditional love and that validation you seek from others. I just recently went no contact with my mother and it’s final this time. She wasn’t there for me when my dog died or helped me with anything and left me to live on the streets, even though thank God, I’m not on the streets, but she doesn’t know that.
