The same can be said about whether or not the wife is obligated to cook and clean at home. If the husband is working and the wife is at home would it not “make sense” for her to do these house chores? Disclaimer: I’m all for the husband helping around the house but when it comes to Fiqh rulings it’s very important to differentiate between what is obligated and what is considered something done out of good will.
