Omg I had a brain hemmorhage from being born 3 months premature! I was diagnosed with cerebral palsy as a baby! I just got told by a doctor I have strong legs bc I do pilates. She pushed on my left arm for a muscle test and gasped bc it was so weak and was like “your arm shouldn’t be that weak” My mom was like “she has mild cerebral palsy” 🤣

I always thought this was common knowledge! My daughter’s CP is caused by a congenital brain malformation, so we get questioned sometimes as well. People don’t realize it’s an umbrella term for motor dysfunction cause by brain based conditions that happen early in life.

I have CP caused by my premature birth which caused the stroke…I was originally diagnosed with right sided hemiparisis but was changed to a quadriplegic by a Speciality hospital

Where do people think CP comes from? Like not a brain injury/brain …thing…(not sure right word)? I remember being told that my parents were told I could have CP as a result of a brain bleed when I was born.
