I was the nanny for a family going through PPD. 3 kids, similar ages. I was a live in nanny. My experience there taught me that the husband can get away with actively causing things to be worse while being able to hide it. The husband in my case, made things actively worse for me and the mother. The people around them did not see it because he was so good at hiding it and finding plausible deniability. He’s not just not the perfect victim, he’s a source for what happened to the kids regardless of who actually did it. I see the same red flags in him as I did to my former employers husband. And some of those red flags are worse including how long it took for him to check on the kids. As a nanny, if I had waited that long to go find the kids, I wouldn’t be living up to my responsibilities and yet Patrick gets to skate by about it. So many many red flags.

The nanny was to help Patrick, to take care of the kids while Lindsay was at work. Once she was no longer working, he fired the nanny because Lindsay was supposed to take care of the kids 24/7...

I was a child (13yo I believe) when my step dad was having a seizure with my baby brother on the bed with him. I, AGAIN, A CHILD AT THE TIME, had the wherewithal to grab my baby brother out of the bed, then grab the cordless home phone, call 911, then run to the neighbors house and give them my baby brother, and then run back home and try to handle the medical situation until paramedics arrived. AND THEN called my mom saying she needed to come back. So you’re telling me a grown ass man, husband and father of 3 children, didn’t have any common sense to check in the kids and just hung out in the snow wondering why the phone wouldn’t work?!

he’s so unlikable, that even if you think she did the act, you feel bad for her and not him. which is actually wild

This is TMI but my dad had a mental breakdown when I was 7 years old due to stress... My mom NEVER left us alone with him until he was able to get the right care... It annoys me so bad that he didn't take the kids with him to run the errands if she was such a danger to them 🙄

He was earning 450k a year as well so they could well afford the nanny, any penny pinching was not necessary

*patrick has no regrets* yet he could have 100% given his youngest cpr and possibly saved him? considering they revived him.

It also caught my attention that during the 60 Min interview, while explaining what happened, he said, “She was going through a difficult time,” not “We were going through a difficult time.” I mean… are you part of a family, or are you on your own?

a bot/troll or something said, "What Patrick was supposed to just stop everything and not go on that trip cause his wife was having issues? he shouldn't have to stop his life cause of that!" my husband stayed with me in the hospital every night for 5 weeks till we delivered our daughter at 31+1. ABSOLUTELY your husband is supposed to be there while you're in the psych ward, if not for you, then for your 3 kids?

His actions alone make him untrustworthy (during a mental health crisis he goes skying, fires the nanny, and tells his dad they don't need anyone to help with the kids.

His lack of accountability is honestly mind boggling. My son broke his arm when wrestling with his brother and I was consumed with guilt even though I wasn’t in the room. I can’t imagine not feeling an overwhelming sense of guilt or blame if I was in his shoes.

He left callan in the hospital and went home and slept in the house his children were unalived in. That's just insane to me.

Not a skier, but maybe skipping a ski trip could help pay for the nanny? 🤔

He said the one baby lived four days, in a hospital. Your other two children are deceased, and instead of being by that baby’s side. He went home, to sleep. There is no way, I could date or marry him.

You said this so well. If Patrick was a woman, the mom in this scenario, he’d be under investigation if not already prosecuted, imo.

One thing I noticed in the interview is he would keep saying “she was having a hard time” “December was really hard for HER” never for “us” or “we” and I think that’s interesting.
