Social Infrastructure as Shared Architecture This project repositions the architectural wall not as a separator but as a social generator; a deliberate inversion of enclosure logic where density is no longer measured in units but in encounters. Instead of isolating programs within self-contained apartments, the proposal distributes civic functions vertically, allowing domestic life and collective activity to operate on a shared spatial plane. At the scale of the block, the composition is deliberately restrained: a continuous urban edge holds the perimeter while a finer structural grid translates the building into a body-scaled system. This dual resolution allows the project to oscillate between city and inhabitant, mass and detail; maintaining legibility from afar while enabling intimacy at close range. The civic core operates as a spatial hinge between two residential volumes, dissolving the conventional separation between public infrastructure and private dwelling. Here, everyday acts; cooking, working, moving, resting, become visible urban performances, embedded into circulation rather than hidden within interiors. As light shifts, the building’s façade transitions from solid enclosure to luminous field; a nocturnal inversion where the structure behaves less like housing and more like an urban lantern, projecting collective life outward into the street.
