On a face value, this makes a lot of sense but honestly there are exceptions to the rule. You can be quiet and shy but you will need an extraordinary work ethic then. Take for instance Beyonce. Someone who is quite shy and didn't even have friends growing up. She doesn't have a huge personality or charisma, but she makes it up in work ethic as a performer. She also constantly reinvents her artistry with her creative expression. That keeps her from becoming boring to her audience. So generally I would say this is absolutely true. But if you are an introvert, you still have a chance in the industry but you have to be fearless. Maybe create an alter ego to help you, like Sasha Fierce. Other then that, your discipline and work ethic must be impeccable.
