@crimexpod: In 2015, 21-year-old Dutch medical student Sophia Koetsier traveled to Uganda for a medical internship. After finishing her placement, she stayed on to explore the country with friends. On October 28, while the group was staying in Murchison Falls National Park, Sophia said she was heading to a nearby restroom. That was the last time anyone saw her. A search operation followed, but Sophia could not be located. In the days afterward, some of her belongings were reportedly found near the Victoria Nile, including a shoe, sunglasses, clothing and other personal items. The circumstances surrounding some of these discoveries later became a source of concern and unanswered questions for her family. Search teams scoured the surrounding wilderness and river, but no confirmed trace of Sophia was ever recovered. Years later, the question remains: what happened to Sophia after she walked away that night? #MissingPerson #Uganda #TrueCrime #UnsolvedMystery #CrimeStories Source: @deadvoid.est
