Assuming the best in people is a life changing thought. Every single time I have an encounter that makes me mad, irritating, annoyed etc. I just assume the best in that person. They cut me off because they are trying to get home to en emergency, they over stepped x because I wasn’t clear and they wanted to help, they hurt my feelings on accident and didn’t mean to. I reframe and let go. It’s a life changing experience

I had to remind myself of this. Moved to a new town and thought my neighbours were a bit weird and I’m ashamed to say my wife and I gossiped about them in a negative way. But then it hit me that yes they are different but we’re the new ones in their neighbourhood, they all say hello and smile at us, they’ve volunteered their resources to us, and we just talked about them like we’re royalty. They’re my neighbours, they’re weird, I love them.

it's not about the perfect thing only, a person's imperfections can reveal some of their character, for example someone who redirects to themselves and their feelings a lot (self referential ig) tend to throw you under the bus for their convenience. you're point is right but also the line between potential bad character and honest mistakes is blurry? idk I'm just rambling atp

AMEN!! it sucks when someone say something hurtful or insensitive but being isolated during suffering is worse. and yes, sometimes suffering reveals who secretly was never really in your corner and who would kick you while you’re down, but a lot of the people imperfectly trying to love you are going to mess up, just like you’re going to probably unknowingly mess up at some point. i’ve honestly started to think that people on social media today wouldn’t *actually* want a village if they knew what all a village entailed

I have these weird dreams about God asking me to save 50 people and those people are allowed to chose 5 people to save, but if they choose the same person it still counts. A huge chain link. And it drives me crazy. And I think I might choose you just because I think you’re pretty smart. I have like 40 people I need to save. So the other 10 needs to be super random. The thing that makes it hard is that, you don’t know who is already said.
